It is Well with My Soul

It has happened again. Just as we're preparing for her first flight overseas, she has to fall ill. I'm not sure what she's got but I got sick at the same time yet again so it's probably the same virus. Sigh. Anyway, thankfully she's ill before and not during our trip.

As I was putting her to sleep after she had taken her medicine, I sang a song to her which really brought a tear to my eye. The song was written by KC Gan & David Yem for a little girl who was suffering from Neuroblastoma (through much prayers, she is now in remission!)

My little girl is only a little sick and I feel so much heartache for her. I really cannot imagine the heartache that the many parents of children with cancer have to go through everyday during the course of their illness and treatment. Their strength and courage is an inspiration to me.

I hope you'll be blessed by this song too.

For Janelle (Whom Jesus Loves)

You hang the stars
Your love makes them glow
You care for the lilies
The sparrows You hold

I open my eyes
Your mercies unfold
When I close my eyes
There's one thing I know

Jesus loves me calls me His own
Jesus loves me He makes me whole
Jesus loves me heart overflows
It is well
It is well with my soul

You took my pain
And carried Your cross
You kept all my tear drops
And shed them like Yours
You felt all my grief
On Calvary's hill
Your heart was so broken
Now I can be healed

Girlee would sleep after I sing this song to her. And I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but not long after she got better =)

"The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed."
