Poulet Chicken

We've been wanting to check out this restaurant the moment it opened at Great World City. Although there's another outlet at Bugis+, this one's more convenient for us. Poulet (pronounced "poo-lay") is French for chicken, one of their signature dishes on the menu.

Amazing French Roast Chicken

I liked their open kitchen concept where you can see the chefs hard at work. Gives you a very nice old school yet modern vibe.

Open kitchen concept

Our order came relatively quickly and I was excited to tuck into the food as I haven't eaten since my heavy brunch that morning.

Poached egg with mushrooms
Braised duck

The poached egg with mushrooms was a hit with my girl while the duck did not live up to our expectations. The star of our meal, the roasted chicken however, was both juicy, tender and delicious. Even the ordinarily tough breast meat melted in my mouth! =)

Their star dish, a whole roasted chicken

We ended off our meal with a dessert as nowadays, it's really difficult to get my girl to eat her dinner if there isn't a promise of dessert.. -_-

Ice cream covered in chocolate rum for dessert

The chocolate and rum mixture was so addictive, even the usually anti-dessert hubby loved it. Rest assured though, I was careful to make sure that my girl did not eat the chocolate rum.

And the verdict?

Yummy! =)

Our total bill came up to only S$70+, which was really affordable considering that our little party consisted of 3 adults and 1 child. Good food at affordable prices? What's not to like =)

Poulet is located at Great World City, 1 Kim Seng Promenade, #02-K2/K3, Singapore 237994.
