During my quiet time with God one day, I stumbled onto a female character in the Bible, whose name I thought was unique and beautiful. Women were hardly mentioned in the Bible unless they were really significant hence I was sure that this was going to be my girl's name.
Coincidentally, the then-boyfriend-now-hubby also decided during his quiet time that the name of a king of Israel in the Bible was to be the name of his son! When we shared the names with each other, we realised that both coincidentally started with "J" and went well with the hubby's family name.
So in 2008, I decided to write down the names of our future kids on the 2 Tatty Bears that the boyfriend/hubby bought for me for Christmas.

"Wouldn't it be cool if we could give our kids the bears when they are older and tell them that we had named them wayyy before they were even conceived!" I said excitedly to him.
Of course we had expected that the boy was going to be first but God had other ideas, which was absolutely fine with me =)

Our faith came to pass! God has blessed us with a beautiful baby girl =)
Two years later in 2012 we decided to try for another baby. I really didn't care whether I had a boy or girl because I would have loved a girl just as much as I would a boy. But the hubby was adamant. He must have his boy!
So we started preparing for our 2nd child, even though there were no signs of a pregnancy anytime soon. As we have learnt throughout our walk with Jesus, faith is calling that which is not as though it were!
We bought a brand new carrier and a stroller. "I might be going on maternity leave soon you know," I told my colleagues. I kept saying that I was going to be pregnant with a baby so many times that people actually thought that I was! And to further cast our faith into stone, the hubby even gave an offering and believed with all his heart that God would give us a baby boy!
Faith offering! |
I even laughed at his enthusiasm, but would you believe it? Just 4 days after our trip to Seoul, I found out that we were pregnant!
And what do you know.. it IS a boy!
Ultrasound scan at 22 weeks (you can see "something" between the legs if you look carefully! *grin*) |
This time I wasn't surprised. God was always going to move according to our faith! Truly, if you can see it, you can have it!
We are living testimonies of the power of visualisation and confession. No matter how impossible your circumstances may be, if you can believe with all your heart and confess with you mouth what you believe, you will have whatever you say!
We are believing God together with you. Keep on believing, keep on visualising, keep on confessing! You can do it! =)
