Brunch & Plunge at Sandbank East Coast Park

We were invited for breakfast buffet at SandBank two weeks ago. SandBank is located at the new Parkland Green at East Coast Park.

The buffet line
Reminds me of breakfast at hotels
My favourite bread and pancakes
These disappeared really quickly because they are so good!
Mum-in-law and the hubby loved these fried fish
My kind of breakfast: Croissant, pancakes and sausages =)
They have prata too
The kids enjoying their food
(Baby Boy especially loves his porridge)

The best part about the breakfast buffet is the free flow of eggs cooked in any way that you want (sunny side up, poached, scrambled, etc)!

My girl is loving her fried eggs and bacon (we made it into a smiley face ourselves hehe) while I'm enjoying my omelet with ham and cheese

More than the delicious food, which was rated as above average by my food critic family members (and trust me, they only eat if the food is good), the biggest draw of the restaurant is the plunge pool on their premise!

Plunge pool at SandBank
(No splashing please!)

All the kids went wild in the pool while the parents ate in peace. Well, the parents whose kids were old enough to play on their own that is. Younger kids still require a lot of supervision so I personally prefer bringing my kids here when they are both old enough and know how to swim (and I can finally eat in peace...*laughs*).

Plunge pool for the older kids
A lifeguard chair was displayed for decoration purposes only as there were no lifeguards on duty
(play at your own risk so please supervise your kids)
Shallower pool for the younger kids

There are toilet facilities next door so you don't have to worry that there is nowhere to bathe your kids after play. Just remember to bring your kid's swim wear, toiletries and towel!

My girl was really disappointed that she didn't get to swim because we were rushing off to another appointment (anyway, they can swim any time when we're at home anyway).

Thankfully there were balloon twisting and glitter tattoo provided by Weekends Pte Ltd to keep the kids entertained!

Choosing her glitter tattoo design
Many designs to choose from
She chose the flower at the end
Left: Happy with the end result!;
Right: She loved it so much that she wanted another one!
Waiting patiently for her butterfly glitter tattoo

Even Baby Boy got in on the action, although he had no idea what we were doing to him.

"What are we doing? Looks like fun!"
"Hmm, why are you putting glue on my arm?"
"Actually looks kind of cool.."

Note: The cost is nett! No hidden charges =)

If you're looking for a fun place to hang out for breakfast at East Coast Park, you can consider SandBank. On a hot day, nothing beats a good meal, a plunge in the pool and entertainment for the kids =)
