My littlest girl really loves travelling on the upper deck of the double decker bus.
It was slightly drizzling when we arrived at NMS.
Before we explored the museum, we had lunch at Food For Thought, located within the museum itself.
I liked my pasta, the taste was just right for me.
We then proceeded to the Singapore History Gallery and as the name suggests, the kids got to learn about the history of Singapore.
My favourite exhibition of all was the Story of the Forest at the Glass Rotunda. It was put together by teamLab, the same people who did the FutureWorld exhibition at ArtScience Museum.
I love that you are taken into a beautiful interactive world of the Forest the moment you enter the exhibit.
I could've have stayed here a bit longer if not for my noisy kids... Sigh.
We really enjoyed the National Museum of Singapore and highly recommend it, especially if you are a Singaporean.

There was a special exhibition featuring Doraemon and you can see him in almost every corner of the museum!
Before we explored the museum, we had lunch at Food For Thought, located within the museum itself.
I ordered the Kids Soup with Toast and Chicken Linguine for the kids and the Spicy Pulled Pork Linguine for myself.
The kids loved the mushroom soup so much that I had to order one more bowl for them!
The kids meal also came with ice-cream, which the kids really enjoyed as well.

I can see why Food For Thought was so crowded! We really enjoyed the food here.
After lunch, we queued to take photos with Doraemon and his famous time-travelling machine. The kids are not super big fans of Doraemon but they thought he was cute.
We then proceeded to the Singapore History Gallery and as the name suggests, the kids got to learn about the history of Singapore.
In my girl's own words, it's like her Social Studies textbook coming alive! We really enjoyed the very interactive exhibits. A far cry from what I remembered when we visited as kids.
We also visited other exhibitions such as Growing Up and Cultural Spaces. The kids were so fascinated by them as they had never seen them before 😅
There were many couples taking their wedding photos here and I can totally understand why. The architecture of NMS was really beautiful. I took many photos of the kids with the beautiful building as well 😊
