Qian Hu Fish Farm & Kok Fah Technology Farm

We've been wanting to visit the last remaining farms in Singapore for a long time since we moved to the West area but we just didn't have time!

Now that we're stuck in Singapore and nowhere to go, it's time to support our own local farms 😊

We wanted to add new fish to our aquarium hence we started with the famous Qian Hu Fish Farm for our fish supplies.

Qian Hu Fish Farm is between Chua Chu Kang and Lim Chu Kang hence it is more accessible than other farms that are located further North. For those of you who don't drive, Qian Hu Fish Farm provides a free round trip shuttle service from Chua Chu Kang MRT.

They also have a very old school cafe serving food and drinks to those who want a refreshing tea break.

There were so many tanks full of different kinds of fish! If you want don't want to splurge your money on SEA Aquarium, you can bring your kids here to see fish for free 😊

We bought some of our fish and an orchid from this farm 😊

Also in the area, just a short drive away, is the Kok Fah Technology Farm

Farms in Singapore are so rare, much less those that grow vegetables just like the farms we see all over Malaysia. The drive out here really made me feel like we are in Malaysia! 好怀念 oh the memories 😢

We brought the kids to explore their greenhouse and see how vegetables are grown.

They also hold a farmer's market every weekend for you to buy fresh produce.

The kids also got to meet some chickens and a parrot who was not in the mood to chat 😂

Since fish feed only cost us 50 cents, we let the kids have fun feeding the koi in the pond.

The farms in Singapore are disappearing so fast! It would be such a pity if we can't visit these farms anymore in the future when they no longer exist. In this period where we can't travel, why not support local! 😊
